Bayi upset Guangdong to even the championship series at 1-1. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Vermilion Birds won fourth quarter 29-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. International Meng Li (185-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 8 assists. International Mengran Sun (197-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian-American forward Nneka Ogwumike (189-90, college: Stanford) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds and international center Yueru Li (192-99) added 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Vermilion Birds.
