Another exciting game for Turk Telekom (11-9) which played in Istanbul against Acibadem (10-10). Seventh ranked Turk Telekom won 84-78. Turk Telekom forced 20 Acibadem turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American-Austrian swingman Sylven Landesberg (198-90, college: Virginia, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 23 points for the winners and Serbian center Vladimir Stimac (210-87, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds. Turk Telekom's coach Burak Goren allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Spanish point guard Joaquin Colom (188-88, college: Forca Lleida, agency: Interperformances) with 20 points and 7 assists and American power forward DJ White (206-86, college: Indiana) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Acibadem players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Besiktas. Newly promoted Acibadem keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Turk Telekom will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Acibadem will play on the road against Buyukcekmece (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
