Rather expected game when 3rd placed Alcobendas (17-7) lost to first ranked Gran Canaria II (21-3) in Las Palmas 80-91 on Saturday. Gran Canaria II forced 24 Alcobendas turnovers. It was a very good performance for Montenegrin swingman Jovan Kljajic (198-1) who helped to win the game recording 27 points. Point guard Javier Lopez-Santana (185-99) contributed with 18 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Gran Canaria II players scored in double figures. Guard Gabriel Diaz-Morera (197-89) answered with 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and center Pablo Rodrigo (204-86) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Alcobendas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gran Canaria II have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group B with 21-3 record. Loser Alcobendas dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost.
