The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Niigata Albirex (33-14) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Toshiba Thunders (30-17) 81-72. American Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) responded with 25 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import power forward Lamont Hamilton (208-84, college: St.John's) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Toshiba Thunders used an opportunity after Ryukyu GK lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position which they share with defeated Niigata Albirex. Niigata Albirex at the other side still keeps top place with 14 games lost. Toshiba Thunders is looking forward to face Hokkaido L. (#6) in Saporro in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Niigata Albirex will play on the road against Osaka Evessa (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
