No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Bisceglie (16-8) outleveled at home 12th ranked Porto S.Elpidio (8-16) 82-57 on Sunday. They outrebounded Porto S.Elpidio 35-22 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bisceglie shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Gianluca Tredici (198-92) stepped up and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Marco Rossi (185-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Davide Marchini (185-86, agency: Players Group) responded with 14 points and guard Marco Cucco (189-94, agency: Players Group) scored 12 points. Porto S.Elpidio's coach Marco Schiavi gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Bisceglie maintains fifth place in B with 16-8 record. Loser Porto S.Elpidio dropped to the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Bisceglie will face Nardo (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Porto S.Elpidio will play against Corato and hope to win that game.
