There was a small surprise in Arroyo Encomienda where thirteenth ranked Univ.Valladolid (5-17) edged 10th ranked La Fecha (6-17) 80-79 on Saturday. Power forward Adrian Pascual (200-88) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Javier Martinez (187-97) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Guard Jorge Martinez (185-96) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Alan Morchon (185-99) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four La Fecha players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Univ.Valladolid moved-up to twelfth place in Group A-A, which they share with Solares. La Fecha lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Univ.Valladolid will face higher ranked Goierri (#10) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
