Njardvik overcame IR to earn 2-0 lead. The game was mostly controlled by Njardvik. IR was better in fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to IR's 26. The former international Maciej Baginski (195-95) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and DR Congolese-French forward Eric Katenda (206-92, college: N.Texas) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Njardvik players scored in double figures. American-Dutch Gerald Robinson (202-84, college: Tenn-Martin) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and guard Hakon Hjalmarsson (188-99) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
