Quarter-Finals Round 3: Keflavik - KR 64-85

KR stormed past Keflavik to sweep the series. It looked good early as Keflavik took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then KR had a 23-20 second period charge getting the lead and Keflavik was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-85. KR made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Keflavik 44-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. KR players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Julian Boyd (201-90, college: LIU Brooklyn) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Italian-American point guard Mike DiNunno (180-90, college: E.Kentucky, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 24 points. Four KR players scored in double figures. KR's coach Ingi Thor Steinthorsson felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Lithuanian forward Mindaugas Kacinas (204-93, college: S.Carolina, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively.
