Second Stage Round 4: Rivne - Mariupol 88-60

Very expected game when 7th ranked Mariupol (4-12) was smashed on the road by second ranked Rivne-OSHVSM (13-3) 88-60. The game was mostly controlled by Rivne-OSHVSM. Mariupol was better in second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Mariupol 41-29 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rivne-OSHVSM players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Swingman Nazar Kisilchuk (195-97) fired 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Valeriy Anisimov (210-90) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Rivne-OSHVSM players scored in double figures. Gleb Buzko (193-92) produced 19 points and Bogdan Yasinenko (203-95, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 9 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rivne-OSHVSM have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-3 record having just twenty seven point less than leader Prometey. Mariupol lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with 12 games lost. Rivne-OSHVSM's next round opponent will be league's leader Prometey in Kamianske and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mariupol will play at home against Khimik-2 (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
