Oldenburg held off Bayer Giants to even the series at 1-1. Oldenburg forced 21 Bayer Giants turnovers. Strangely Bayer Giants outrebounded Oldenburg 44-31 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Point guard Haris Hujic (192-97) scored 17 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Philip Zwiener (201-85) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists during the contest. Five Oldenburg players scored in double figures. Center Dennis Heinzmann (216-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and American forward Nick Hornsby (201-95, college: Sacramento St.) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
