There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Fellbach (9-15) won against at home higher ranked Giessen Pointers (11-14) 94-87 on Sunday. Fellbach looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American center Scooter Gillette (206-90, college: Fair Dickinson) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. James Arbinger (191-87) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Christoph Kenntemich (174-97) answered with 27 points and Lithuanian Martynas Airosius (192-93) added 21 points and 6 assists in the effort for Giessen Pointers. Five Fellbach and four Giessen Pointers players scored in double figures. Fellbach moved-up to tenth place in South-West. Newly promoted Giessen Pointers keep the sixth position with 14 games lost. Fellbach will face Kaiserslautern (#11) on the road in the next round.
