Another exciting game for Hapoel Tel-Aviv (10-14) which hosted 5th ranked Beer Sheva (13-11). Eighth ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv won 102-96. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Beer Sheva. Hapoel Tel-Aviv made 29-of-36 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Beer Sheva was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Richard Howell (203-90, college: NC State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and American swingman Garlon Green (201-91, college: TCU) who added 22 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Jordan Swing (198-90, college: UAB) with 23 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import point guard Kerron Johnson (183-90, college: Belmont) scored 13 points and 9 assists. Four Hapoel Tel-Aviv and five Beer Sheva players scored in double figures. Beer Sheva's coach Rami Hadar rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Tel-Aviv moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Galil Gilboa and Nes-Ziona. Newly promoted Beer Sheva keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Galil Gilboa (#8) in Rosh Pina in the next round. Beer Sheva will play at home against Maccabi Ashdod and hopes to get back on the winning track.
