Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Bandits outrebounded Waverley Falcons 49-37 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Torren Jones (206-94, college: William Penn) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Ken-Jah Bosley (185, college: Ky Wesleyan) contributed with 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized American swingman Bennie Lewis (203-87, college: Benedict) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Deondre McWhorter (203-93, college: Georgetown, KY) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Waverley Falcons. Five Waverley Falcons players scored in double figures. Waverley Falcons' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Despite that victory Bandits went down to second position (League) due to points difference. Loser Waverley Falcons dropped to the tenth place with one game lost. Bandits will face Ringwood Hawks (#8) in Heathmont in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Waverley Falcons will play on the road against Eltham Wildcats and hope to win that game.
