Semi-Finals Game 1: HyPo - Catz 69-84

Catz shocked HyPo in the semifinal series opener. The game was mostly controlled by Catz Lappeenranta. HyPo managed to win fourth quarter 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Catz Lappeenranta looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Aleighsa Welch (183-93, college: S.Carolina, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Valencia McFarland (163-91, college: Ole Miss) contributed with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Catz Lappeenranta players scored in double figures. Catz Lappeenranta's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Randi Brown (170-96, college: New Orleans) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and guard Jessica January (170-95, college: DePaul) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for HyPo.
