Semi-Finals Game 2: Kouvot - PeKa 86-91

PeKa outgunned Kouvot to open 2-0 lead in the series. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-16. But Kouvottaret won second period 22-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Peli-Karhut won last quarter 27-24. Strangely Kouvottaret outrebounded Peli-Karhut 50-27 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Brooke McCarty (163-95, college: Texas) scored 38 points (!!!) and 8 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and American-Cameroonian center Brittany Starling (183-94, college: USC Upstate) chipped in 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Peli-Karhut players scored in double figures. American guard Taeler Deer (165-96, college: Texas St.) responded with 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Ugandan power forward Claire Lamunu (185-93, college: Vanguard) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!).
