Vera toppled MBC to take 1-0 lead. The game was mostly controlled by Vera. MBG was better in third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Point guard Givi Bakradze (180-91) nailed 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and American point guard Brandon Sly (178-96, college: Adams St.) accounted for 20 points and 7 assists. American guard Corey Sanders (188-97, college: Rutgers) came up with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Tato Chachibaia (201-90) added 20 points and 8 rebounds respectively for MBG in the defeat.
