Stjarnan held off IR to open win count in the series. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-63. Stjarnan made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 6 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). The former international point guard Aegir Steinarsson (185-91, college: Newberry, agency: Duran International) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 assists for the winners. Five Stjarnan players scored in double figures. American-Dutch Gerald Robinson (202-84, college: UT Martin) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Kevin Capers (188-93, college: Florida Southern) added 18 points in the effort for IR. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
