Catz snatched a road win over HyPo to sweep the semifinal series. HyPo was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 25-18 charge of Catz Lappeenranta, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American forward Aleighsa Welch (183-93, college: S.Carolina, agency: Two Points) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Her fellow American import point guard Valencia McFarland (163-91, college: Ole Miss) contributed with 25 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Catz Lappeenranta players scored in double figures. The former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Jessica January (170-95, college: DePaul) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for HyPo.
