Venezia beat Sesto SG to take the lead. Venezia outrebounded Sesto SG 47-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for Latvian center Anete Steinberga (190-90, college: UTEP, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. The former international point guard Debora Carangelo (169-92) contributed with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Venezia players scored in double figures. Venezia's coach Andrea Liberalotto allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swedish guard Kalis Loyd (188-89, college: Lamar) answered with 31 points and 5 rebounds and international power forward Giuditta Nicolodi (185-95, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 8 points in the effort for Sesto SG.
