Regular Season Round 16: TSU-Hyundai - Delta 78-90

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Delta (#4) and TSU-Hyundai (#5). TSU-Hyundai was defeated at home 78-90 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by Delta. TSU-Hyundai managed to win third quarter 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded TSU-Hyundai 48-35 including 17 on the offensive glass. Delta looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international power forward Beka Bekauri (207-91) fired 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Eric Nottage (189-94, college: FIU, agency: Court Side) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Nottage is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Delta players scored in double figures. International power forward Giorgi Korsantia (207-98) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Koka Tomaradze (197-90) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Delta (10-6) moved-up to third place, which they share with Dinamo Tbilisi. TSU-Hyundai lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Olimpi. Delta's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Dinamo Tbilisi.
