We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked UCC Piacenza (11-17) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Bondi Ferrara (11-17) 82-75 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Isaiah Swann (188-85, college: FSU) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Alessandro Panni (189-91, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Bondi Ferrara players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Toure Murry (196-89, college: Wichita St.) responded with 20 points and Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. UCC Piacenza's coach Gabriele Ceccarelli rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Bondi Ferrara moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Bondi Ferrara will face higher ranked Roseto Sharks (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. UCC Piacenza will play against the league's second-placed De Longhi TRV (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
