Regular Season Round 26: Chalon - Bourg 76-79

A very interesting game took place in Chalon. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 14th ranked Chalon/Saor (10-16) to eleventh ranked JL Bourg (14-12) 79-76 on Tuesday evening. JL Bourg players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Senegalese center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Rob Gray (185-94, college: Houston) supported him with 12 points and 6 assists. JL Bourg's coach Savo Vucevic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 20 points and 9 rebounds by American guard Vincent Sanford (193-90, college: Dayton, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for Chalon/Saor. His fellow American import point guard Justin Robinson (174-95, college: Monmouth) added 14 points and 13 assists for the hosts. Four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. JL Bourg moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Chalon/Saor at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. JL Bourg's next round opponent will be higher ranked SIG Strasbourg (#6) at home and it may be quite challenging game. Chalon/Saor will play against Olympique Antibes (#18) and hope to win that game.
