Olomouc Bbal held off GBA Sparta in the opener. Strangely GBA Sparta outrebounded Olomouc Bbal 38-26 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Forward Adam Urbanek (196-93) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) for the winners and Moldovan forward Evgeni Scripcaru (195-83) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side British-American forward Sacha Killeya-Jones (211-98, college: NC State) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 15 rebounds and Israeli center Gabriel Chachashvili (209-99) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds.
