Second Stage Round 5: Challans - Saint-Quentin 58-89

Let's start with guest Saint-Quentin's (9-4) easy road victory over 3rd placed Vendee Challans (8-5) 89-58 on Friday evening. Saint-Quentin looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Vendee Challans' players. The best player for the winners was American-Jamaican center Ryan Rhoomes (203-92, college: Fordham, agency: Duran International) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American guard BA Walker (184-84, college: VCU, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 14 points and 7 assists. Four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. Swingman Dominique Gentil (197-88, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Paul Turpin (190-93) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Vendee Challans' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Saint-Quentin moved-up to third place. Vendee Challans at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Saint-Quentin are looking forward to face Rueil (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
