We should mention about the upset which took place in Bremerhaven, where higher ranked Telekom Baskets (15-12) were outleveled in a road game by seventeenth ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (6-22) 88-67. The winners were led by American point guard Chris Warren (178-88, college: Ole Miss) who scored that evening 22 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and the other American import guard Elston Turner (195-90, college: Texas A&M) supported him with 18 points.
