Regular Season Round 17: TSU-Hyundai - BC Titebi 99-96

Important game to mention about took place in Tbilisi. Sixth ranked TSU-Hyundai (9-8) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 8th ranked BC Titebi (6-11) 99-96 on Saturday evening. BC Titebi was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 25-13 third quarter run of TSU-Hyundai. They shot 62.9 percent from the field. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American guard Marcus Posley (185-94, college: St.Bonaventure) stepped up and scored 22 points and 5 assists for the winners and Serbian center Ratko Petric (213-86) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Five TSU-Hyundai players scored in double figures. Cape Verdean-Portuguese forward Joel Almeida (195-85, college: Brockport St.) responded with 31 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Kaheem Ransom (185-93, college: SHSU) scored 30 points and 8 assists. TSU-Hyundai moved-up to fifth place. BC Titebi at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. TSU-Hyundai's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Dinamo Tbilisi.
