There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (12-17) defeated higher ranked Brose Baskets (19-10) in Frankfurt 86-79 on Thursday. Deutsche Bank Skyliners looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Brose Baskets were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Leon Kratzer (211-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). American guard Tyler Larson (191-91, college: S.Dakota) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American-Montenegrin point guard Tyrese Rice (185-87, college: Boston Coll.) answered with 18 points and 4 assists and American Augustine Rubit (200-89, college: S.Alabama) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Brose Baskets. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Deutsche Bank Skyliners maintains twelfth place with 12-17 record, which they share with Giessen 46ers. Loser Brose Baskets keep the fifth position with ten games lost.
