Regular Season Round 18: Dinamo Tbilisi - TSU-Hyundai 89-98

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Tbilisi: TSU-Hyundai (#6) and Dinamo Tbilisi (#3). Dinamo Tbilisi was defeated at home 89-98 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It looked good early as Dinamo Tbilisi took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then TSU-Hyundai had a 30-18 second period charge getting the lead and Dinamo Tbilisi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 89-98. TSU-Hyundai players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. International guard Sandro Sanadze (190-95) notched 32 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and international power forward Giorgi Korsantia (207-98) supported him with 20 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Four TSU-Hyundai players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by Croatian center Domagoj Bubalo (212-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) did not help to save the game for Dinamo Tbilisi. American forward Jordan Swopshire (201-95, college: Colgate, agency: Green Sports Management) added 19 points. Dinamo Tbilisi's coach Irakli Khoshtaria rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TSU-Hyundai (10-8) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Dinamo Tbilisi. Dinamo Tbilisi lost third consecutive game.
