Quarter-Finals Round 2: Seagulls - Kauhajoki 89-98

Kauhajoki upset Seagulls on the road to open 2-0 lead. Helsinki Seagulls trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 28-26 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 89-98 at the end of the game. Kauhajoki made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Guard Cameron Jones (193-89, college: NAU) scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Swingman Wayne Blackshear (196-92, college: Louisville) responded with 35 points (!!!) and swingman Alex Ruoff (198-86, college: WVU, agency: Inception Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Four Helsinki Seagulls players scored in double figures.
