Important game to mention about took place in Athens. Fourteenth ranked Evropi (10-18) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 13th ranked Marousi (10-18) 72-71 in the fight for the thirteenth place. Evropi made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game, while Marousi only scored nine points from the stripe. Marousi was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for power forward Konstantinos Kampouridis (204-99) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Guard Angelos Gatzias (192-94) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Chris Likogiannis (198-84) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and forward Giannis Papageorgopoulos (204-91) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Marousi. Four Marousi players scored in double figures. Marousi's coach Kostas Keramidas tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Evropi moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Marousi and Kavala. Evropi will face higher ranked Apollon Patras (#11) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
