Second Stage Round 8: Saint Vallier - Bordeaux 88-103

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked JSA Bordeaux (7-8) won against on the road 4th ranked Saint Vallier (8-8) 103-88 on Friday. JSA Bordeaux shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Richie Gordon (203-89, college: W.Carolina) who scored 26 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Quentin Hanck (192-93) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Senegalese center Moise Diame (206-86) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Parfait NJiba (199-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 23 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Newly promoted JSA Bordeaux maintains sixth position in Places 1-10 with 7-8 record. Loser Saint Vallier keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. JSA Bordeaux will face higher ranked Saint-Quentin (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saint Vallier will play against La Charite and hope to win that game.
