A very interesting game took place in Nancy. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed Sluc Nancy (20-9) to tenth ranked Nantes (14-14) 74-71 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sluc Nancy. American-British center Laurence Ekperigin (200-88, college: LeMoyne) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. American-Portuguese Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) contributed with 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Nantes players scored in double figures. Ivorian point guard Souleyman Diabate (181-87) answered with 9 points and 10 assists and American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sluc Nancy. Nantes maintains tenth place with 14-14 record. Sluc Nancy at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Nantes' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked C'Chartres (#18) at home and are hoping to win another game. Sluc Nancy will play against Poitiers (#9) and hope to win that game.
