Botafogo outscored Pinheiros in the decider and paved their way into the semifinal stage. Botafogo F.R. shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jamaal Smith (175-85, college: N.Mexico) who scored 21 points and 6 assists. Guard Caue-Borges dos-Santos (187-91) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Botafogo F.R.'s coach Leo Alves used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international Betinho Nardi-Duarte (195-88) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Renato Carbonari (206-87) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
