Anwil held off Slam Stal in Game 1. Anwil made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Cape Verdean-Portuguese Ivan Almeida (198-89, college: Stonehill) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Russian forward Valery Likhodey (205-86, agency: Alti Sport) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. American point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: LBSU) answered with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and the other American import point guard Mike Scott (184-93, college: Idaho) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for BM Slam Stal. BM Slam Stal's coach Wojciech Kaminski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
