There was no surprise when 25th ranked Recy Saint-Martin (4-7) was outleveled at home by twenty first ranked Lorient (8-1) 99-52 on Saturday. Lorient made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Recy Saint-Martin turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for guard Matthieu Missonnier (184-97) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 9 assists and 4 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Naturalized Mali point guard Ibrahim Saounera (179-87) contributed with 21 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners. Four Lorient players scored in double figures. Forward Calvin Jubenot (198-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette, agency: Octagon Europe) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Recy Saint-Martin. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Lorient. They maintain twenty first place with 8-1 record. Recy Saint-Martin lost their seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the twenty fifth position with seven games lost.
