Mgzavrebi topped Batumi to level things up at 1-1. The game was mostly controlled by Mgzavrebi. Batumi managed to win second period 17-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Batumi 40-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. American point guard Adrian Bowie (189-89, college: Maryland) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-93) chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Mgzavrebi players scored in double figures. American guard Kasey Shepherd (190-94, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Duran International) responded with 15 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Nodar Tenieshvili (198-92) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
