Flamengo beat Franca to take the lead in the NBB Finals. The game was mostly controlled by Flamengo. Vivo/Franca managed to win third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international forward Olivinha Rodriguez (203-83) fired 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Flamengo players scored in double figures. American David Jackson (195-82, college: Penn St.) produced 13 points and 4 assists and international forward Lucas Silva (209-95) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
