Finals Game 5: Zwolle - Groningen 85-53

Zwolle stormed past Groningen to regain the lead in the title series. The game was mostly controlled by Zwolle. Groningen managed to win second period 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Groningen to just 7 points in third quarter. Zwolle dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Groningen's 26. They outrebounded Groningen 41-21 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Zwolle especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Groningen's players. Canadian point guard Kaza Kajami-Keane (185-94, college: Carleton, agency: Interperformances) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 assists for the winners and American forward Noah Dahlman (201-89, college: Wofford) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five Zwolle players scored in double figures. American point guard Lance Jeter (191-88, college: Nebraska) responded with 9 points and the other American import swingman Grant Sitton (206-93, college: Victoria) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
