Zwolle won the title after a road win in Game 6 of the Finals!
Groningen trailed by 18 points at halftime and as many as 22 after three quarters before a 24-9 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 71-78 at the end of the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Groningen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Canadian point guard Kaza Kajami-Keane (185-94, college: Carleton, agency: Interperformances) scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Sherron Dorsey-Walker (193-93, college: Oakland) chipped in 20 points during the contest. Zwolle's coach Herman van den Belt used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Teddy Gipson (191-80, college: Arkansas) with 15 points and his fellow American import point guard Lance Jeter (191-88, college: Nebraska) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds.
