ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to JSF Nanterre's 32. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Adreian Payne (208-91, college: Michigan St.) fired 21 points for the winners. American-Serbian point guard DeMarcus Nelson (193-85, college: Duke) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Nick Johnson (191-92, college: Arizona, agency: BeoBasket) produced 18 points and 4 assists and the other American import guard Jeremy Senglin (188-95, college: Weber St.) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side.
