Semi-Finals Game 5: AEK - Promitheas 84-85

The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But AEK won fourth quarter 27-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded AEK 47-32 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Promitheas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. International Leonidas Kaselakis (202-90) saved the victory by scoring 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American Rion Brown (198-91, college: Miami, FL) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Promitheas' coach Makis Giatras used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American Vincent Hunter (203-94, college: UTEP) answered with 27 points and 5 rebounds and Cuban forward Howard Sant-Roos (200-91) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for AEK. Five Promitheas and four AEK players scored in double figures.
