Culiacan eased past La Paz to cut the distance in the series. Caballeros de Culiacan forced 25 Mantarrayas turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. The winners were led by American forward Sammy Yeager (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) who scored that evening 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import point guard Jeffery Stubbs (189-91, college: Jackson St.) supported him with 18 points and 12 assists. Five Caballeros de Culiacan players scored in double figures. Even 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals by American Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) did not help to save the game for Mantarrayas. American-Dominican Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) added 14 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
