Umana Venezia celebrated Serie A title. They outgunned Sassari in the decisive game of the championship series to capture the trophy. Umana Venezia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Greek-American swingman Michael Bramos (196-87, college: Miami, OH) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds. American-Georgian point guard Marquez Haynes (191-86, college: UT Arlington) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Five Umana Venezia players scored in double figures. American forward Rashawn Thomas (203-94, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: Wasserman) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) added 9 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Banco di Srd. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
