Obregon nipped La Paz to take 2-1 lead. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 63.2 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Isaiah Wilkerson (191-90, college: NJIT) accounted for 10 points and 9 assists for the winning side. Four Halcones de Ciudad Obregon players scored in double figures. American-Dominican Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for Mantarrayas in the defeat.
