Very expected game in Rio de Janeiro where 9th ranked Coritiba (2-7) was defeated by fifth ranked Flamengo (7-1) 65-55 on Friday. The best player for the winners was point guard Matheusinho Brito (185-0) who scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Center Matheus Maciel (207-1) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Cristofer Duarte (208-99) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and guard Felipe Dias (193-0) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Flamengo. They moved-up to fourth place.
