Another exciting game was played in La Romana between Soles SD and Caneros Del Este where Soles SD (1-0) beat Caneros Del Este (0-1) on the road 100-95. Soles SD made 31-of-39 charity shots (79.5 percent) during the game. Soles SD outrebounded Caneros Del Este 45-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Anthony Miles (185-89, college: Lamar, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jereme Richmond (203-92, college: Illinois) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Jaison Colome answered with 20 points and American forward DeAndre Daniels (206-92, college: Connecticut) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Caneros Del Este. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Soles SD will play against Reales LV in La Vega in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Caneros Del Este will play on the road against Leones SD in Santo Domingo to get more than just one victory in their record.
