Regular Season Round 4: Caneros Del Este - Reales LV 78-81

The most exciting game of round 4 in the LNB took place in La Romana. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of bottom-ranked Caneros Del Este (0-4) to top-ranked Reales LV (4-0) 81-78 on Tuesday evening. Reales LV dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Caneros Del Este's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Caneros Del Este's players. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American swingman Luis Jacobo (196-91, college: PFW) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and Juan Araujo (206-83) who added 18 points during the contest. At the losing side American forward Branden Dawson (198-93, college: Michigan St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and guard Jose Soliman (185-91) scored 20 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Reales LV have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Leones SD. Caneros Del Este at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Reales LV is looking forward to face league's leader Leones SD in Santo Domingo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Caneros Del Este will play on the road against Indios SFM (#4) in San Francisco and hopes to get finally their first victory.
