Regular Season Round 5: Indios SFM - Caneros Del Este 81-82

Important game to mention about took place in San Francisco. Sixth ranked Caneros Del Este (1-4) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Indios SFM (1-4) 82-81 in the game for the fourth place. Jonathan Araujo saved the victory by scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Branden Dawson (198-93, college: Michigan St.) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Caneros Del Este's coach used entire bench in such tough game. American power forward Demondre Harvey (201-93, college: ULM) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany) added 18 points in the effort for Indios SFM. Four Caneros Del Este and five Indios SFM players scored in double figures. Caneros Del Este left bottom position moving up to fourth place, which they share with Metros STGO and Indios SFM. It was Indios SFM's third loss in a row. Caneros Del Este will play against league's second-placed Leones SD in Santo Domingo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Indios SFM will play at home against Metros STGO and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
