Sao Jose held off France in the opener. Sao Jose looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian point guard Diego Figueredo (185-91) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 assists. Rafa Oliveira (200-93) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Uruguayan point guard Luciano Parodi (182-94) answered with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and international forward Lucas Silva (209-95) added 18 points in the effort for Vivo/Franca. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
