Very important is a home loss of second ranked Soles SD (5-5) against sixth ranked Indios SFM (3-7) on Friday night. Host Soles SD was defeated by Indios SFM in Santo Domingo 105-90. Indios SFM outrebounded Soles SD 39-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. American swingman Paris Bass (203-95, college: Detroit Mercy) fired 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The other American import guard Greg Foster (188-89, college: Saginaw Valley) chipped in 21 points. American forward Jereme Richmond (203-92, college: Illinois) produced 18 points and power forward Manuel Guzman (204-82, college: Bemidji St.) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Indios SFM and five Soles SD players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Indios SFM maintains sixth position with 3-7 record. Soles SD at the other side keeps the second place with five games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Indios SFM will meet at home league's second-placed Metros STGO in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Soles SD will play against the league's leader Reales LV in La Vega and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
